While en route to training, R-30 jumped the call to a report of a working structure fire in the Shores not far from their location. Upon arrival E18 and E17 had just arrived and was preparing to make initial attack after a quick search. R30's crew quickly geared up, and took a 1 3/4" attack line to the rear of the structure making a quick stop. After extinguishment and some overhaul R30's crew was released and placed back in service. And yes, they did make it to training at 7:30 that night.
